We've got 3 episodes left in Season 1, so I thought before we head into the last leg of the season, let's go back in time!
I had some shower thoughts earlier in the week that led me to thinking about how a show's pilot is received by critics and whether or not those reviews lead audiences to stay away.
And I thought, specifically, about Hart of Dixie. (As I do. Come on. You've been listening for 25 episodes, this shouldn't surprise you.)
So I dusted off some of the original reviews of Hart of Dixie's pilot episode from The A.V. Club, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, The Boston Globe, and IGN to see what kind of a first impression the show left on it's earliest viewers before it was released to the world.
Warning - a lot of it is not very favorable. There's a reason they made that 'Call Me Doctor' video. (Which I now think was very justified, and it's somehow even funnier to me now.)
Don't forget the conversation never stops with me! Find the show on Twitter @HartofDixiePod, on Instagram at longlivethehartpod, or e-mail the show email@example.com! I can't wait to hear from you!
